Level 2 Award in Spectator Safety

The qualification is ideally for anyone who wishes to have a career or already is working in stewarding, spectator events, security or volunteering.

This qualification can lead to or help the following job roles:

• Event steward (sport, music, etc)
• Football safety officer
• Spectator safety staff (festivals, carnivals, marches)
• Event volunteer.

The Spectator Safety qualifications provide the required knowledge and experience to work as a steward in sports grounds, at music festivals, marches and any other events that require spectator safety. The qualifications fulfil the requirements for stewarding set out by the government in the Green Guide.

You’ll cover things like:

Level 2

• Help to manage conflict
• Contribute to the work of the team
• Prepare for spectator events
• Deal with accidents and emergencies
• Control the entry, exit and movement of people at spectator events
• Monitor spectators and deal with crowd problems.
